Debra Kemmerling, M.S.W., L.C.S.W.

Deb has been a DBT individual and group therapist for the past eight years, with thirty-two total years of experience as a social worker, therapist, and hospice bereavement counselor. She has worked in various settings and in several different roles including an adolescent counselor on an Apache Reservation in Arizona. Her areas of specialty include family of origin / family dysfunction / abuse recovery, PTSD and trauma recovery, Stage 2 addiction recovery, grief and loss, women’s issues, learning disabilities, and mindfulness. Deb graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and continued on to earn her Master of Social Work from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She has received additional training in the areas of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed therapy, hypnotherapy, and neuro-linguistic programming. Deb’s current focus is on treating the whole person using complementary therapies, such as aromatherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
