DOT SAP Evaluations

Individuals that perform duties that are regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) must comply with drug and alcohol testing procedures. If a violation of this regulation occurs, an evaluation needs to be completed by a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) before the employee can return to their saftey-sensitive job functions.

This Return-to-Duty Process begins by contacting a credentialed and qualified SAP for an initial evaluation. This evaluation will determine a course of action to be completed so the employee may be considered to return to work. This may consist of education, treatment or a combination of both. A follow-up determines eligibility to return to work and coordination of after-care as needed.

Let Family Guidance Center help you or your employee take the first step toward getting back to work. Our Substance Abuse Professional Nancy Briggs will guide you through the process.
