2023 Kid’s Decorated WHEELS Parade

Calling all kids! Birth to 12 years old!

Join us for the 2023 Kid’s Decorated Wheels Parade at the Mind Your Health Community Event!

Parade Start: 10:30 AM

 

Calling all tricycles, bicycles, unicycles, scooters, wagons, strollers, wheelchairs, so on – if it is NON-MOTORIZED, permitted in the park and has wheels, we’d love to see it for this “wheely” fun parade around the lake! We will have decorating materials at the event this year, so feel free to either decorate your ride at home OR complete the decorating at the event, then show off all your hard work during the parade at 10:30am!

 

This year’s theme is…Show Your COLORS! 

 

Dress up and decorate those wheels with COLOR! Choose your favorite color or a rainbow of colors, the choice is yours. Be as wild and creative as you’d like!

 

How to Participate:

  1. Complete the below registration form for EACH child participant so we know exactly how many to expect.
  2. Choose your favorite wheeled-ride and bring it along to the event. Remember your HELMET!
  3. Arrive at Stone House on Saturday, May 20th no later than 10AM to receive your participant number (check-in at the registration table under the Stone House porch).
  4. Bring along your favorite adults to cheer you on (also required)!
  5. The parade starts at 10:30 AM and includes two laps around the lake.
  6. SMILE and HAVE FUN!

 

Additional Notes:

  • Helmets are required for ride-on toys (bikes, unicycles, scooters, etc.)
  • Judging will be based on age groups: birth-4, 5-8, 9-12
  • Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age group
  • All participants will receive a goodie bag
  • FREE to participate!
  • You are welcome to decorate at home OR at the event prior to parade start at 10:30 AM
  • Please be mindful of LONG strings and decorations so they do not get tangled in wheels, pedals, gears, etc. We may ask to trim or remove decorations if they pose a safety hazard to the riders or riders around them.

Complete this registration form for each child participating in the contest (so we make sure we have enough goody bags for everyone!)

I, the parent/guardian of the participating child, understand that riding in or on a wheeled vehicle is a potentially dangerous activity and I, the undersigned for myself, my children, my administrators, my heirs, and assignors, assume all risks associated with participating in this event and do hereby release and discharge Family Guidance Center, organizers, sponsors, ride officials and volunteers from any and all claims of liability for death, personal injury, or property damage of any kind arising out of participation in the Mind Your Health Kid's Decorated Wheels Parade. We agree to abide by all decisions of the ride officials. We agree to abide by all rules of the trail, to exercise all safety precautions, including wearing a helmet while on or in a wheeled vehicle, and I certify that we are physically fit for the event. I understand the participants may be photographed for publicity purposes.
